A hybrid turbo keeps the original housing but gets upgraded internals - typically a larger or billet compressor wheel and a high-flow turbine - so it flows more air than standard. Hybrids on the shelf go out next day; others are built to order in our workshop in 2-3 weeks. A hybrid turbo is a performance part, not a turbo for a hybrid car.
