Failure analysis
Send us the failed unit and we find out why it failed. We strip and measure the turbocharger or injector, photograph what we find and put the root cause in writing, so a warranty provider, insurer or assessor can decide the claim on evidence rather than opinion.
How it works
Tell us the claim reference and send the unit by courier, or we arrange collection.
The unit is photographed as received, then dismantled and every component examined.
Clearances and wear measured; injectors run on the test bench against the maker's test plan.
Findings, probable cause, a clear determination and the actions needed before a replacement is fitted.
Why Turbo Speed
The determination comes from the bench, not from whoever sold or fitted the part.
Clearances, wear and bench readings, with photographs of every finding.
We list what must be fixed on the vehicle so the next unit does not fail the same way.
Is the failure a defect in the part, or caused by the vehicle? A clear answer you can settle the claim on.
Physical evidence, photographs and a written root cause for the claim file.
Find out why units keep failing on the same vehicles before you fit the next one.
An independent opinion when a customer disputes a turbo or injector fitted by you or by someone else.
The question behind every claim: did the part fail, or did something on the vehicle kill it? These are the causes we establish most often.
A turbocharger warranty assessment from our Rushden workshop, with the customer details removed. Three pages: findings and engineering conclusion, the warranty determination with required actions, and the photographic evidence.

FAQ
Yes. The report states what failed and why, based on what we find on the bench. It is issued before, and separately from, any quote for a replacement or repair, and we have no stake in which way the claim is settled.
Yes. Most units we assess were supplied and fitted by someone else. We inspect them the same way as our own.
The failed unit and all dismantled components are kept in our storage under the claim reference, so they stay available for a second inspection by you, the customer or another assessor. We return or dispose of them on your instruction.
No. We work on the removed part. Vehicle history, mileage and the reported symptoms help us, so send what you have with the unit.
