BMW hybrid turbos

Most of our hybrid turbo enquiries are for BMW diesels - the 330d, 530d, 535d and the x50d six-cylinders, and the 2.0 123d / 120d / 320d. A hybrid is the standard turbo rebuilt with upgraded internals in the original housing, so it bolts on like the stock part, but it needs a remap and often fuelling and intercooler upgrades to make the extra power safely.

A hybrid turbo keeps the original housing but gets upgraded internals - typically a larger or billet compressor wheel and a high-flow turbine - so it flows more air than standard. Hybrids on the shelf go out next day; others are built to order in our workshop in 2-3 weeks. A hybrid turbo is a performance part, not a turbo for a hybrid car.
